XL ProBio Brewers are made in-house. We use compost tea ourselves and are therefore dedicated to making it easy to work with. The machines are under constant review as we both develop new ideas and listen to your suggestions to make the brewers all the more efficient.
SUITABLE FOR
How to use the XL ProBio 20/50 Brewer
50 litres of brew will treat 1 hectare (ha). The XL ProBio 20/50 brewer is very flexible allowing you to brew from the minimum to the maximum volume of compost tea at a time.
Ensure that your brewer and filter sock are 100% clean before each use.
We recommend that you wash the machine thoroughly after each brew. We use a pressure washer and a sponge - water only, no chemicals or detergents.
Fill with the desired volume of water and start the air pump Please ensure that you place the air pump where it won't get wet and away from very dusty areas. For best results use borehole or rain water. If using chlorinated mains water ensure you bubble long enough to remove the chlorine (essentially bleach which will kill the good biology). You can normally smell the chlorine in the water but it can take up to 2 hours bubbling to remove the chlorine. For water with higher levels of chlorine you can also add a cap full of BioStim per 50 litres of water.
Insert the filter sock into the brewer and press down to lock the filter in place.
Pour the contents of your Easy Brew ReviTEAlised tea compost bucket in to the filter and leave to work for 24-36 hours (longer in cold weather)
Foaming may occur when the brew starts to work This shows that the yeasts and fungal content are working well. DO NOT use any oils - they are a natural biocide and may harm the biology.
After full brew time, turn off the air pump Let the brew stand for a few minutes to allow the larger solids settle.
Remove the filter sock from the brewer
Your concentrate is now ready to use For the 20/50 litre brewer we recommend that you use the jug (supplied with the brewer) to decant in to your sprayer.
How to use the XL ProBio 200 Brewer
200 litres of brew will treat up to 4 hectares but you can't overdose with tea compost so if you're treating a smaller area there is no risk of applying too much. Please be aware that the 200 litre brewer is very heavy when full - approx. 200kgs - and should therefore be stood on a solid, steady platform high enough for you to draw off the brew through the filter sock supplied. Because of the brewer's weight and volume, we have fitted a tap to the 200 litre brewer for your convenience.

After the full brewing time you can start to draw off the brew liquid (tea) by opening the tap and allowing it to run through the filter sock. It is vital to do this otherwise it may block your sprayer or diluter.
