An instant, ready and easy to use liquid biology

BIOLIFT FR

BioLift is an instant, ready and easy to use liquid biology additive for use with all growing mediums and is derived from totally organic products with no chemical additives. Simply open the can and use!
It has much more microbial activity (per litre) than any other compost tea on the market - including our own.
It is used on plants or areas that have had high levels of chemicals applied and/or where there is a high level of disease or toxicity. It will rejuvenate in the substrate natural disease suppressants.

How does BioLift work?

  • Adds a beneficial SRD (species rich diversity) biology to your soil community
  • Reduces chemical and fertiliser inputs
  • Suppresses parasitic nematodes, fusarium and leaf spot diseases
  • Promotes quicker root development of newly planted species
  • Enhances germination of newly sown crops
  • Releases plant nutrients naturally, reducing fertiliser costs
  • Helps convert macro and micro nutrients and aids in effective uptake of fertilisers, lengthening periods between fertiliser applications
  • Improves stress resistance
  • Assists foliar and root disease suppression
  • Promotes increased rooting

What is it made from?

It is derived from worm casts. Worms can consume their own weight of organic matter everyday. Worm casts are a concentration of the micro organisms which were present in the matter that they consumed. The also contain beneficial yeasts, bacteria and fungi as well as plant hormones and enzymes, all of which are beneficial to the plant's roots and foliage. We extract the beneficial biology from the casts and supply it to you in liquid suspension ready to be applied.

Is there any scientific proof it works?

Technical research at Ohio State University in the USA, and anecdotal evidence from users in the UK, has shown that the micro-organisms in BioLift enhances the soil biology community and this helps to explain the amazing results obtained with BioLift.
SUITABLE FOR
Wilkins have farmed in Tiptree for almost 300 years. The farm covers 850 acres. As well as being proud of the Tiptree heritage, we are at the forefront of farm innovation and forward thinking. A very big part of Tiptree fruit production is the strawberry growing and we are very passionate about it.

In April 2018, we partnered with XL Probio to set up a trial on one of our fields, using BioLift PlantHealth The main reason behind this trial was to improve the plant health, achieve reduction in the use of plant protection products and fertiliser as well as increasing yields. We were keen to trial and see the effect of BioLift Planthealth. The product was applied every 10-14 days throughout the season on the trial area. Despite experiencing one of the hottest summers on record, the plants under the trial looked healthier, the crop was better and the yield increased by 5%.

We are now confident to be including BioLift Planthealth to our long-term farm strategy in strawberry growing.

Why not chemical fungicides?

Chemical fungicides kill the good biology as well as the bad. They totally destroy the natural balance of the soil community.

Is BioLift a fertiliser?

BioLift is not a fertiliser but the beneficial biology will feed off disease in the root zone. Part of BioLift's bacterial makeup enhances the cationic exchange of nutrients converting your fertilisers into a form more available to the plant. Experience of effectiveness from users shows up to a 30% reduction in fertiliser costs.

Is BioLift safe and is it cost effective?

Please note that BioLift should not be confused with worm leachate which is anaerobic and can contain harmful bacteria. BioLift is totally safe - no chemicals are used in its manufacture and the basic feedstock of the worms is derived from plant sources. You can work with any growing medium immediately after application and sell plants immediately with no safety period required. Many of the leading nurseries both in the UK and Europe use biology.

How to apply BioLift

Apply as a drench at potting then treat by overhead applications every 14 days thereafter. It can be applied using overhead sprayers and diluted through a Dosatron set at 1:100.

Carry out the initial watering with BioLift so that the biology can start to work protecting the roots. Apply approximately 10-20% of the pot volume at the diluted rate.

The same applies to crops in grow bags or on field/ground grown crops. Thereafter apply by sprayer, overhead or trickle lines every 14 days.

If disease is prevalent increase both the dose and the frequency of application.

It is safe to work on the crop during and immediately after application.

BioLift can ONLY be tank mixed with XL ProBio products.

Best applied early morning or evening (biology does not like high UV levels).
Remove all traces of any previous applications from irrigation and spray equipment before using biology
Can be applied by either tractor mounted or knapsack sprayers or tank mixed in a tractor mounted sprayer or pedestrian knapsack sprayer.
A pedestrian air blast knapsack sprayer can be used and allows you to apply biology without large quantities of water in winter months.
